Our story

We are a father-and-son founding team who have been thinking about this idea for years: how to make gratitude and gifting more meaningful, less wasteful, and better aligned with what people actually want. From unspoken “I owe you” moments to billions lost in unused gift cards, we saw a huge opportunity to build something smarter.

Larry Ubaldi

Co-Founder / ceo

Larry spent two decades in enterprise IT, retiring in 2023 as Vice President of Tangoe Advisory Solutions after leading go-to-market for telecom, mobility, and cloud expense-management platforms. Earlier in his career, he held critical accounting roles for several software firms, giving him deep command of financial controls and SaaS economics. Larry holds an MBA from the University of New Haven and a B.S. from Iona College.

Brian Ubaldi

co-founder / director

Brian has spent nearly 20 years in strategy, operations, and risk management roles for a leading U.S. wealth-management firm, steering multi-million-dollar technology and compliance programs and cutting loss exposure. He now applies that disciplined execution—and a passion for eliminating waste—to build deedzy’s secure, regulator-friendly gifting rails. Brian began his career in investment banking, covering Financial Institutions, including FinTech. He earned an MBA in Finance from Wharton and a B.S. in Finance from Villanova University.
